The bowl is 9.8" × 7.1" and holds about 13 cups — built for medium and large dogs. Labradors, golden retrievers, german shepherds, boxers, bigger mixes.

SUS304 stainless — the same grade as kitchen cookware. Plastic scuffs into a rough surface within weeks of daily scrubbing; stainless doesn't, so there's nothing for old food to catch in.

    Your dog drinks as often as he eats. The water bowl gets the same flat, floor-level treatment as the food bowl — and nobody thinks about it, because water bowls are something you already own.

      Maybe not, and we'd rather say so. This helps most with dogs who leave food behind, stop halfway through and come back, or have a few years on them. If yours cleans the bowl in one go without folding down, he's fine as he is.

      The stand is wider at the base than the bowl is at the rim, so it doesn't tip when a dog leans into it. It isn't bolted down — a determined dog can still slide it across a smooth floor.
