The bowl is 5.9" wide and holds about 2 cups — built for small dogs. Dachshunds, shih tzus, schnauzers, yorkies, small mixes.

If your dog is bigger than that, this bowl is too small and we'd rather you didn't order it.

SUS304 stainless — the same grade as kitchen cookware. Plastic scuffs into a rough surface within weeks of daily scrubbing; stainless doesn't, so there's nothing for old food to catch in.

    Your dog drinks as often as she eats. The water bowl gets the same flat, floor-level treatment as the food bowl — and nobody thinks about it, because water bowls are something you already own.

          Maybe not, and we'd rather say so. This helps most with dogs who leave food behind, stop halfway through and come back, or have a few years on them. If yours cleans the bowl in one go without folding down, she's fine as she is.

          The stand is wider at the base than the bowl is at the rim, so it doesn't tip when a dog leans into it. It isn't bolted down — a determined dog can still slide it across a smooth floor.

          Warm soapy water, or straight in the dishwasher. It's SUS304 stainless — the same grade as kitchen cookware. Unlike plastic, it doesn't scuff into a rough surface over time, so there's nothing for old food to catch in.

          It can — the bowl is shallow enough that whiskers don't press against the sides while they eat, which is often why a cat paws food out or eats only the edges. It's sized for small dogs, so check the dimensions against your cat first.
